Media and advertising

Media and advertising both rely on each other greatly. Mass media acts as the vehicle for advertising. Newspapers, television, and the internet are how advertisers get their messages out to the public. The media also relies on ads to generate revenue. Without the different forms of media, advertisers would have a lot more trouble reaching the public and thus would do poorer. Although advertising is not considered a mass media, it definitely walks a fine line and can sometimes be confused as one.
