Mass Media's Changing Entertainment

Like with all technology, mass media technology has changed to be more entertaining to its audience. Mass media began as a print industry, which still survives today, but has blossomed into an entertainment empire. Today, mass media is focused or reaching large audiences, and allowing them to interact across the globe.

With changing technology new products arrive on the market frequently. Today, not only is there the ability to watch television, but there are more and more channels arriving. There is also the ability to record these television shows, through items such as DVR, to watch them whenever the audience pleases. Not only can these television shows be seen originally, they can be watched again, having more effect on the audience. Other technologies such as NetFlix allow for the audience to watch as desired at that moment.

Other technologies, such as websites including Facebook, Twitter, and Linkden, allow for individuals across the globe to interact. This interaction allows for the spread of information, giving more entertainment to the receivers of this information. With the ability to watch any show or movie mass media has allowed itself to become an entertainment giant. Through this ability, and the ability to contact persons across the globe, the entertainment aspect of mass media has grown tremendously.
