Technology Dependence

Without question, technology is increasingly important in society. It is

impressive how fast technology has been developed. To think that almost every major advance was invented in the last century is mind-blowing. How could people not develop dependence on things that typically make life more interesting, easy and entertaining? Considering cell phones for example; everyone has one. People who don’t have a cell phone usually surprise the majority of those who do.

If technology did not exist neither would mass amounts of businesses and professions. The book gives a good example of how dependence on technology in earlier forms of media would rely on electronics to project the voice of a speaker. It just shows how technology is used and relied on even in the most minuscule of situations.
