Taking a look at the different mediums out there such as the internet, television, and radio, it is clear that one of the things that they share in common is that they al revolve around advertisements. You can’t watch a Youtube video or watch the news without being bombarded with ads. These ads are in place for one reason, for the various tv stations, websites, and radio stations to make money. Even public television stations such as PBS resort to some sort of advertising in between their programs. But why does so much of media rely on economics and money? I think the answer is that in order for the different websites and TV stations to keep producing a comprehensive, entertaining, and evolving medium, money is required. Without the proper amount of advertising, the different mediums that people world wide consume every day would not be the same and or not as evolved as they are today.
