technology as the creator of entertainment

The audience today is now entertained through relationships with their technological devices, instead of being present at an event while interacting with others who share the same interest in that form of entertainment. Reliance on what the device will offer, such as when a sport’s game will broadcast or what soundtracks or live videos of popular artists are available on the internet, has grown. It indeed gives the audience a greater selection of entertainment and also control of when they would like to watch a movie, play a video game or listen to music. The comfort of home and having the option either to individually or communally enjoy a form of entertainment is also convenient.

However, mass technology does have a way of reaching large crowds of people and engaging them in the same form of entertainment at the same time. An example of that would be a broadcast of the Golden Globe’s Award Show or the World Series Playoffs. Also, technology can be used to promote events leading a mass audience to enjoy entertainment with others in public. Regardless, the audience is still relying on technology to create entertainment opportunities.
