The Audience in Control Due to Blogs and Internet

Blogs and the use of the internet have had a big impact on news and reporting. The idea of blogs was use long before television or the internet was created. Newspapers when they first started being printed would leave a blank page at the end so that people could make comments about the news. Now, blogs and add comment boxes are a usual thing to see on the internet under a news story or a report.

The internet has become so integrated in our daily lives that it’s hard to think about the internet changing the news and how they are reported. Reporting news now has changed in a way that even if the news is on TV, you know you can find the same news online where you can make your comment and see what other people have said. Also, it has forced news reporting to be very careful with facts and the material they use, because people have access to the internet where they can verify and check all the information and if they find its wrong they can immediately add a comment and blog about the news and the wrong information being reporting which would then hurt the reputation of that news channel.
