How has mass media technology changed the way audiences are entertained?
In the days before mass media people entertained themselves or each other. People told stories, played games, and talked. Now people tell stories online, they read information online, they watch stories in television and movies, play games online and on video games, and are constantly connected to what is going on and each other through mass media. People are no longer satisfied with basic things like playing a board game, why would you do that when you could play a video game with the family? Or have family movie night? Rather than sitting face to face and talking people text, IM, e-mail, call, face chat, and etc. You can constantly be in communication with someone without ever being face to face.
Entertainment keeps getting bigger and better. Video game graphics are better, television screens are bigger, and internet speed gets faster. Everything is in constant change to be made better.
