Today is the day of Internet. Everything is just a click away. Sites such as Google, Yahoo, and Bing allow for much quicker searching with mutiple sites and blogs pulled up to choose from. News shows up in the form of government websites, websites like Wikipedia which allow the user to add their own information, and blogs which allow followers to add commentary. These websites allow for much quicker spread of information, with many people now turning to social networks like Twitter and Tumblr to broadcast what is going on in daily life. With these applications being a touch away on the new smart phones people can easily access them and follow thousands of other people.
This informal approach has allowed for a much faster spread of news both internationally and on a national entertainment level. Posts on Twitter tell the public about people like Justin Beieber and Selena Gomez, while pictures on websites like Facebook can show what is going on in other countries. With this focus now being put on the Internet and the ease of access most people have, many news companies now have a website, and most e-mail websites like Yahoo and AOL have a main page filled with news stories and updates. As Erin Kennedy said, the world of news is becomming strongly based in the Interent so people need to jump on the train, or be left behind.
