News Media
I think that investigative reporting is an extremely helpful way of informing the public on both local and global issues. It lets the public in on issues and topics that are otherwise kept private and closed off. Investigative reporting also educates the public on how they are directly affected by the given problem at hand. One form of investigative reporting that is most common are the consumer reports that some news stations run. These reports are prime examples of investigative stories that inform the public of scams, and false claims that are current in the consumer market.
