What is technology dependence?
Technology dependence comes from the huge impact social media has become within a person’s daily life. Technology dependence comes from the need for constant contact with the world and everything that is going on around you. Cells phones are a prime example of technology dependence, the ability to talk to many people and one time through SMS, looking at statuses and other comments online, they have the ability to gain as much information about the people around them as they would like.
Technology dependence can be seen across the board, the use of cell phones being a leading dependency. These devices take away from true communication skills such as holding a conversation. Technology dependence has made access much easier.
